🌟 Your Donation Makes Freedom Sustainable

When a woman walks out of prison, she carries more than bagsβ€”she carries the weight of starting over. Your gift helps lift that burden.

At Faith for Freedom, every donation directly supports women reentering society with dignity, hope, and practical tools. Here’s how your support helps:

🧼 Hygiene Kits – Toothbrushes, feminine care, deodorant, soap, lotion, and other personal essentials for those starting fresh.

πŸ‘– Clothing – Outfits for interviews, daily wear, and seasonal needs to help women feel confident and prepared.

🍽️ Meals & Grocery Support – Gift cards and care packages to ensure no woman goes hungry in her first days of freedom.

🏠 Emergency Shelter Assistance – Temporary lodging, rent support, or referral housing for women with nowhere to go.

πŸ“š Faith-Based Reentry Resources – Journals, devotionals, and spiritual toolkits to help women heal and stay grounded.

πŸ’Ό Job Readiness & Transportation Help – Support for job prep, resumes, and bus passes to get to interviews or appointments.

 FAQs

  • Prison ministry is a type of religious outreach that provides spiritual and practical support to incarcerated individuals, as well as those who have been released from prison. This can include offering religious services, Bible studies, counseling, and assistance with re-entry into society. It can also extend to supporting prison staff and the families of inmates

  • A reentry program, also known as a prisoner reentry program or reintegration program, is designed to help individuals who have been incarcerated transition back into society after serving their time. These programs aim to reduce recidivism (the tendency of a convicted criminal to re-offend) and improve public safety by providing support services to returning citizens.

  • Here's a step-by-step guide:

    1. Go to the TDCJ Offender Search: Navigate to the TDCJ Offender Search page.

    2. Enter the inmate's information: You can search using the inmate's last name and first initial, TDCJ number, or SID number.

    3. Search for results: Click "Search" to view the results.

    4. View details: If a match is found, click "View Details" to see more information about the inmate, such as their location, charges, projected release date, and more.

    5. Contact the facility: If you plan to visit, it's recommended to call the specific unit where the inmate is housed to verify information and confirm visitation procedures, as information can change.

    6. County jail search: If the inmate is in a county jail, you'll need to visit the specific county's website (e.g., Harris County Sheriff's Office) or contact their sheriff's office for inmate information.
